Paris Made In China: There Is A Perfect “Copy” of the French Capital Found In Asia

Over the last decade, China’s Tianducheng has become world-famous for its open embrace of Parisian architecture.

Located in the eastern province of Zhejiang, visitors to Tianducheng can look forward to seeing replica of the Arc de Triomphe and numerous other neoclassical buildings emblematic for the French capital. At the heart of the town there is also a replica of the Eiffel Tower, rising 354-foot-tall.

There is a greater phenomenon of “architectural mimicry” ongoing in the country. Elsewhere in China, visitors may find replications of Italian, Austrian or Swiss architecture to name a few. If you can’t decide which country to travel to, there is always a three-to-one option available in China. A peculiar place indeed.
